These six traditional zither tunes were arranged for easy piano by Duke
Maximilian of Bavaria. The zither was an instrument the Duke was
responsible for elevating to the status of National Instrument and was
known as one of the foremost virtuoso players of his time. The Duke is
also remembered as the father of the eternally beautiful and enigmatic
Empress Elisabeth of Austria who was tragically assassinated at the age
of 61.
