Exhibiting a natural talent for pastiche and an almost overwhelming
abundance of original musical thought the "Piano Concerto in C" opus 7
took Beethoven's famous "Piano Concerto in C" opus 15 as its
inspiration. Premiere performances of the concerto in Copenhagen 1811,
secured a future for the German born composer as a Danish Romantic icon
for future generations and this concerto is part of his legacy: as fresh
and serene today as the day of its first performance.
