Awareness of the importance of knowing the positions is the reason for
this method. In this book you will have to cope with many more than
single-note passages. Two, three and four-note combinations occur
frequently and will test not only your skill, but your tenacity as well.
No doubt, during the course of these studies you will observe that much
of the work would be easier and simpler to execute in the first or
another position than suggested, but this is the reason for this method.
Practice these studies as suggested, the strings, the fingerings and
the positions with intensity and enthusiasm, therein lies the difference
between success or failure.
